Bria GCW Post: Another Day of Skirmish Return to TopSubmit News! Why not visit our forums?
Bria - 12:49 PM PDT | Posted By: Mattt

Bria GCW Post
"Another Day of Skirmish"

Thursday, August 11, a Rebel strike force of around 40 men stormed the Silicon Valley complex on Naboo. The North and West base underwent countdowns but were stopped shortly thereafter. Imperial reinforcements from FOE, LfD, FBI, and LSW responded to the attack to help fend off the enemies. The strike force was defeated.

Or was it?

After the raid, a one-man, undercover slice went undetected, bringing down the Northern Silicon Valley base.

Also on Wednesday, Sidious City was the site of some serious blaster fire as a skirmish between the Rebels and Imperials became evermore heated. Ultimately, the attack was stopped.

Naboo was not the only site of fighting on the 11th; Dantooine and Tatooine also hosted multiple skirmishes throughout the night.

A Week Out of Print: A Week of Excitement Return to TopSubmit News! Why not visit our forums?
Bria - 5:39 AM PDT | Posted By: Mattt

Bria GCW Post
"A Week Out of Print: A Week of Excitement"

Throughout the week of August 1-7, the Bria GCW Post went temporarily out of print due to its leading journalists being out of town. That week also entailed some of the most fierce and exciting fighting the Bria GCW has seen so far.

The famous Rebel complex on Lok, which had repelled countless other Imperial offensives, fell to Imperial might of more than 100 soliders on Saturday night, August 7th.

The Rebellion answered the Empire's moves by launching an immediate counteroffensive in retalliation. Targets included Fort Berchest, Fort Omega, and the Strongbadia complex. The counteroffensive was fierce, but all Imperial installments remained standing.

On Monday, August 9th, an organized Rebel strike force of around 100 soldiers converged on Fort Berchest on Naboo. The Rebel force was repelled as Imperial allies rallied together from all over the galaxy to defend the compound. Ultimately, the strike force was defeated by Naboo's Imperial rapid response teams.

Smaller skirmishes continued throughout the night on Naboo, but no other major developments occured.

The "Post" is now back in production. Remember, information bits, announcements, and stories concerning the GCW on Bria can be mailed to fry_andrew7@yahoo.com. All help covering these massive stories is appreciated.

Bria GCW Post: An Update From the Front Lines Return to TopSubmit News! Why not visit our forums?
Bria - 11:49 PM PDT | Posted By: Mattt

Bria GCW Post
"Tactful Maneuvers Prove Lethal"
-An Update From the Front Lines-

Through the late p.m. hours of July 29 and the early a.m. hours of July 30, Imperials from all over the galaxy rallied together to once again strike the Rebel bases in Muerte Imperatus. Around 65 - 70 Imperials rallied on Lok, moving in on the compound from the north.

Forward Rebel positions slightly upset the Imperial organization. The attack ensued with the front line of the Imperial force moving in with all it's weight. An small Imperial strike force moved in low profile in an attempt to take out the NW base. The group was quieted by the first wave of Rebel diehard soldiers.

The front line of the Imperial force held extremely well for nearly 20 minutes. Time after time, and charge after charge, straying Rebels broke upon the Imperial line. Inevitably, though, the line began to fold. The Rebel charges became more lethal as they flanked the Imperial position. The shrinking Imperial force began to fall back into the northern canyon.

Falling into the canyon, Imperial medics and doctors showed what they had as the Imperials regrouped, healed, and buffed during a slight intentional break of attack from the Rebels. The courtesy was short-lived as the Rebels charged once again. The Imperials retreated, fighting 'til their death.

AT THE SAME TIME- FAR TO THE SOUTHEAST
The Imperial commanders directed the battle well afterall. The battle at Muerte Imperalus was a diversion. As the huge battle unfolded, a secret Imperial strike team moved in on ROI's Rebel base at Millstone. They met minimal resistance due to the MI skirmish. The base at Millstone was eliminated.

Each battle on Lok becomes more and more lethal and interesting. Both Rebels and Imperials have shown their crops' finest picks. Both factions displayed different sorts of victory in this event. Congratulations to all!

Bria: A Message From the Empire... Return to TopSubmit News! Why not visit our forums?
Bria - 12:48 PM PDT | Posted By: Mattt

We just got the following message anonymously transmitted to us through the Bria Holonet. It appears to be from a high-ranking Imperial officer...

Hello to all on the SWG community,

Some of you know of the recent events of Rebels going in large groups and attacking imperials. These actions are not to be tolerated and I regret them having to happen to my loyal Imperial brothers. I would like to send a clear message to Rebels who have been part of these recent strikes: you will pay in blood for these acts of hate and violence. As I speak, various Imperial Alliances are forming to build a stronger empire; intelligence agencies are collecting vital plans from informants that currently belong to Rebel Guilds; armies are being trained in the masses to take on the Rebel Threat. These attacks from Imperials will soon begin to increase and only become harder to defend against. One more thing to Rebel Colonel Kommissar Woods; your bases will soon no longer stand and even some of your so called- most loyal advisors are turning you in. We have obtained crucial intelligence, so beware. You cannot run, nor can you hide because.... I've got my eye on you. Expect to hear more from me in the coming weeks,

Anonymous High Ranking Imperial Official

This does not bode well for the Rebel effort.

Bria GCW Post: Breaking News! Return to TopSubmit News! Why not visit our forums?
Bria - 5:20 AM PDT | Posted By: Mattt

The famous Rebel bases on Lok have been the topic of heated discussion and skirmishes lately. Between the hours of Wednesday, July 28 at 11:15 p.m. through Thursday, July 29 at 1:00 a.m., a strike force of around 50 Imperials rallied and struck the Rebel compound with lethal force. Participating Imperial guilds included: FoE, LFD, LFD-R, TIE, CE, LSW, and more.

The Imperials met extremely impressive and stiff resistance of around 100 Rebels, including around 8 Jedi and many NPCs. Upon attack, the Imperials' element of surprise and volly fire, they pushed far into the compound and brought the Northwest base under siege.

As the Rebels reorganized, they pushed the Imperial force to the northwest, breaking most of the attack on the base. The Imperials fell back for a short rally and reorganization before bringing their weight back into the fight.

After a few short moments of success, the Rebels forced the Imperials back into a northeast canyon above the compound. A series of "power-switching" and rally points at last resulted in the Imperial force being driven completely out of the compound and forced to retreat.

The Rebels continue to hold their compound on Lok. This fact, alone, dictates that we are sure to hear of more action from this area soon.

Bria GCW Post: A Week in Recap! Return to TopSubmit News! Why not visit our forums?
Bria - 7:41 AM PDT | Posted By: Mattt

This just in from Frylle McIro of Bria!

July 18-24 proved to be most interesting. Early in the week, the streets of ESF's Eislygarde erupted in blaster fire. A sizable Rebel presence moved in on the factional base stationed in the city. Before long, members of ESF and other volunteers became pinned in the nearby cloning facility. The base underwent more than a few slices, but die hard Imperials always seemed to break the countdown just in time. Even though the base stood, it was a moral defeat for ESF. Since then, Rebels have eliminated the base.

Later in the week, while embedded with LFD on Naboo, the guild received a distress call from SiS from Sidious City on the same planet. Upon arrival, ESF found a large Rebel force moving in our the SiS factional base. The battlefield was fiercely burned with blaster fire for at least ten minutes before the few remaining Rebels retreated. SiS currently still holds this base.

New Updates:

More recently, Mandalore, Dantooine has been menaced by a nearly constant Rebel presence. Comm chatter leans toward the possibility of a large Rebel offensive in the near future.

The Rebel Colonel, Kommissar Woods, publicly announced the establishment of 4 large Rebel bases in Muerte Imperiatus, Lok. With that public announcement, a large Imperial retaliation is expected any day.

Scenario on Saturday (Jan 10th) Return to TopSubmit News! Why not visit our forums?
Bria - 4:52 PM PST | Posted By: Mattt

The following was found on the SWG Official Site, on the Player Events Listing:
In-game Contact: Pi'nk Floyd
Location: Abandoned Rebel Base on Dantooine (northwest corner of the map) Rebels meet at the base itself, Imperials will assault from Crystal Lakes City.
Date: Saturday, January 10, 2004. Staging starts at 5pm CST -- Scenario starts at 7pm CST
Purpose of Event: To get everyone interested in the GCW again even if it is through scenario type play. Here is the concept. Rebels need to hold the base long enough for the shuttles to return and evacuate Mon Mothma and the other high ranking rebel leaders. If the rebels can hold the central building for 30 minutes (have at least one rebel inside the building at the end of the time period), they are considered to have won the scenario and will have an advantage during the next scenario. If the Empire takes the central building (kills all rebels inside and prevents more from entering) and hold it at the end of the time period, they are considered to have won and will have an advantage during the next scenario.
Victory to the Rebels! If you've got an event of your own, send it our way!
